My New Year’s Resolution: Eat Less, Exercise More, and Lose a Few (or more) Pounds
December 29th, 2009

Sound familiar? If you’re like a lot of people (including me), you start off the new year with good intentions. You load up on healthy food at the grocery store, hit the gym a few times a week, and then a few weeks or months go by and, ouch, you’re back to some of your old ways.
Whether you want to look better, feel more energetic, or improve your health, you may be thinking that a weight loss program could help you stay on track and achieve your goals this year. But with so many weight loss products and services out there – each promising the best results – how do you navigate your way through the maze of choices? Glad you asked!
The FTC’s free publication, Weight Loss: Finding a Weight Loss Program that Works for You, has information to help you evaluate weight loss products and services, including the right questions to help you choose a safe and effective weight loss method.
Now, I’m almost certain you’ve heard this before, but it’s worth repeating: Before you begin a weight loss program, see your doctor. Ask his or her advice about your overall health and the weight loss options that are best for you.
When you start shopping for a weight loss program, get answers to questions about how the product or service works, how much it costs, how well it works and whether there are any risks in following the program. I think the Checklist for Evaluating Weight Loss Products and Services on page 9 is a handy cheat sheet when talking with representatives from weight loss programs. For more information, check out these other weight loss resources.
Please check back for more consumer tips and discussions. In the meantime, here’s to your (and my) weight loss success in the New Year!

Now understand that hard exercise often leads to more eating. Oops.
So a critical piece of weight loss is monitoring your calorie intake along with exercise. Many people overeat when starting new exercise regimens because of the output of energy and need to supply it with fuel.
Utilize a calorie reducer like Cheat, especially for exercisers that will probably be overeating after physical exercise.
Exercise is a dieter’s and weight loss purser’s best friend!
But as pointed out, what you take in your mouth and is absorbed into your system is the holy grail of fat loss…especially in the stomach.
Did you catch that? What is absorbed into your system is what goes toward fat or muscle. Try a core4 system that Cheats calorie absorption…leading to weight loss around your core. Calorie reducers actually stop the body from absorbing the calories you eat. Another ahh ha. This will help with the transition period of new exercise and dieting…if you really wan to lose weight.
Exercise not only burns calories, but can actually improve your resting metabolism leading to a good night’s sleep. That’s great for weight loss…sleep.
By the way, research shows that three (3) ten-minute spurts of exercise per day are just as good as one thirty-minute workout.
Also, take the stairs instead of the elevator or park in the back of the parking lot. Every step you take helps.
The proper way to lose weight is through diet and exercise. The focus being primarily on diet. Most diets tell you to eat salads and vegetables. So I decided to do so. Like most I grew tired of eating salads. I was looking around for a way to spice up salads, and I found one. Its called somtum. Its a spicy thai green papaya salad. It took me a while to get used to it, but now its part of my diet plan. I eat it maybe 3 or 4 times a week.
be kind.
I’ve tried lots of low-fat diets for a couple of years but none of them made me feel satisfied. Although, there are lots of diets, like Atkins diet but it’s making me feel weak and unhealthy. But when I tried Medifast Diet,i feel like I’m on the right kind of diet plan. It doesn’t make me feel weak.
The caloric intake is around 800-1000 calories. It’s a bit pricey, but there are lots of coupons available on the internet
Even if you don’t pay full price. You just have to choose a diet plan which your body reacts positively. No one knows your body better than you do…
For a stress free daily weight loss all you need is dieting and exercises. You have to cut your daily calorie intake. How? Instead of eating hefty meals 3-times per day, reduce the quantity and eat it 5 differnt times small meals to assauge the hunger pangs.Avoid food rich in carbohydrate but eat more of proteinous and vitamins rich foods e.g fruits.Drink lots of water 7-9 cups of water will be great.
Involve yourself in exercises e.g swimming, joggimg, walking e.t.c It does not necessarily have to be a gym-baesd exercise.
Considering natural weight loss supplements to help you with your weight loss plans, but it is important to understand exactly what you are getting. Natural is the same thing as “safe” to some people but in reality that is not always the case. Just because a bottle of pills is labeled as “natural weight loss supplements”, that doesn’t mean you can expect them to give you the help you need without the risk of side effects.
Most of the products that are considered natural means that they come from nature, usually plants, and they don’t have any synthetic or chemical components to them. However, what many people don’t realize is that there are a number of natural herbs that are used in place of chemical drugs and that can cause side effects just like man made medicines can.
I personally lost a good deal of weight(40 lbs) by simple diet and exercise. While I made a lot of changes to my life, the food impulses required a more drastic approach. I used Methadrene, I think it has ephedra in it, but I didnt see anything about it on its website but Im very sure it has some. I also took a complete multivitamin as I was worried about not getting enough nutrients and minerals. I would jog a mile a day and follow up with some free weights. I would also eat less than 2,000 calories and drink lots of fresh green tea sweetened with artificial sweeteners. I dropped nearly 10lbs a month, and would of continued… but I ran out of methadrene. Hope this helps someone
Hi there folks, I think you are making this sounds so dificult, there are a lot of options out there to really get important results, but in my opinion this is the best program I could find…
Don’t you believe me? Just take a look!
I found lots of valuable a diet ideas on this site named the celebeater it references celebrity diet plans as well as super star celebrity workout programs. This helped us I really simply thought I would pass this particular on for anyone out there struggling with weight loss.
Eating healthy and making sure your diet cosnsists of fruits and vegetables is a great start. But if yor are obese does Xenical work ifI want to loose weight?
Thanks for the information, it was very helpful, great work……….. Regards, Valencia
I am really starting to think that this whole “weight loss” focus is wrong. We need to be focused on “healthy living” and then everything else will follow…(like natural weight loss, longer life, cleaner arteries (heart health), better skin, and generally happier life) That, to me, makes a whole lot more sense!
Thank you so much, Kristen K.
I had some great results with the fat loss for idiots diet, but unless you change your lifestyle then the pounds will start to pile back on a lot easier than they came off, so it’s all about finding something that works around your life! If you want to read my review of the fat loss 4 idiots diet and for some exercise tips you can see it all here
Thanks for posting this article. I will pass this to my friends. This is cool because it is not a get slim quick issue. If I take my time I will get to my goal healthier.
