<description>Hi Freda--The Departments of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and Treasury offer a site at www.makinghomeaffordable.gov that includes good information on a variety of mortgage and foreclosure related issues as well as how you can connect with a HUD-approved housing counselor in your area. The counselor should be able to answer your questions about this topic. You may also want to look at HUD&#039;s site at
http://portal.hud.gov/portal/page/portal/HUD/topics, which offers more info on buying and selling homes.

Also, the FTC&#039;s site at www.ftc.gov/moneymatters includes broad information about mortgages and other credit and debt-related topics.

Hope you find this information helpful. Best of luck!
